메이커 교육 평가 루브릭 개발에 관한 연구: 고등학교 가정과 의생활 메이커 교육 과제를 중심으로 (A study on the development of maker education evaluation rubric: Focusing on high school home economics clothing maker education tasks)

초록

본 연구는 중등 학교 교육 현장에서 학생들의 가정과 의생활 메이커 수업 활동을 평가하기 위한 루브릭을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 정의, 개발, 평가 3단계에 따라 분석적 루브릭을 개발하였다. 정의 단계에서는 고등학교 가정 교과 수업시간에 실행할 수 있는 의생활 메이커 교육 과제를 선정하고, 메이커 교육 및 평가 관련 문헌 고찰과 가정과 메이커 교육 전문가와의 심층 인터뷰를 통해 메이커 교육 평가 방향과 평가 항목을 도출하였다. 개발 단계에서는 총 2차에 걸친 가정과 메이커 교육 전문가들의 피드백을 통해 ‘우수함’, ‘보통’, ‘노력요함’ 3단계의 성취수준에 따라 구체적이고 관찰 가능한 분석적 루브릭 3개(교사 평가, 자기 평가, 동료 평가)를 개발하였다. 개발된 루브릭은 자기주도성, 비판적 사고, 도전의식, 실패에 대한 자세, 공유 및 확산, 기록하기, 협업능력, 윤리적 태도, 작품의 완성도, 창의성의 10개 평가 항목을 포함한다. 평가 단계에서는 개발된 루브릭을 가정과교육 전문가 1인으로부터 내용 타당도 검토를 한 후, 가정과 교육 현장 전문가 10인에게 현장 적합성과 개방형 의견을 받아 최종 완성하였다. 본 연구는 중등 학교 교육 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 메이커 교육 평가 방안을 제시했다는 데 의미가 있다. 추후 연구로 본 연구에서 개발한 루브릭을 실제 학교 수업 현장에 적용해 평가 도구로써의 효과를 살펴보기를 제언한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to develop the rubric to assess students’ maker class activities in secondary schools. For doing this, this study developed the analytic rubric according to a three step process that included definition, development, and assessment.
In the definition step, this research chose maker education projects on clothing life of a living culture unit that could be carried out in high school home economics classes, and drew assessment directions and items of maker education through in-depth interviews with experts in literature consideration related to maker education and assessment and maker education on the home economics subject. In the development step, this research developed three analytic rubrics (teacher evaluation, self-assessment, peer evaluation) that were specific and observable according to three achievement levels that included excellence, average and required effort through a total of two feedbacks that home economics education experts gave. Developed rubrics include ten assessment items such as self-direction, critical thinking, challenge, attitude to failure, sharing and promoting, recording, collaboration ability, ethical attitude, completeness of a work, and creativity. In the assessment step, the degree of developed rubric draft’s content validity was examined by a home economics education expert. Suitability of the revised and complemented rubric in the education field was assessed by 10 experts in the home economics education field through a survey. The survey result showed that the rubric was suitable for the degree of result uses, the degree of validity, the degree of assessment tool understating, easiness of uses, the degree of teachers’ preparations, the degree of reliability in consecutive order.
This study is meaningful to suggest a way for maker education assessment that can be applied in secondary schools. This study suggests that further studies will examine the effects of the developed rubric as the assessment tool in maker classes of schools.
