초록

기독론은 신학이 다루는 가장 중요한 주제 가운데 하나이다. 그럼에도 신학자가 아닌 헤겔이 기독론을 자신의 종교철학에서 중심점으로다루고 있는 것은 그의 입장에서 기독론이 그만큼 중요한 주제이기 때문일 것이다. 이 논문은 헤겔에게 있어서 기독론이 왜 중요한지, 또한그것이 어떻게 그의 종교철학의 중심점이 되는지를 밝히는 데 중점을둘 것이다.

영어초록

This thesis concentrates on why for Hegel Christology is important, and how it is the mid-point of his philosophy of religion.
Hegel understands every personal being as subject, and subject as spirit. Thus a human being is a subject and a spirit. The deep demand of the spirit is to be reconciled with the universal. This reconciliation is possible only when is the antithesis in the spirit negated.
Antithesis and universal are not separated but conflicted in a subject. The conflict between Antithesis and universal is inevitable in the human being since the human subject dose not have the power enough to unite the two because of its limitedness. That is to say, the human subject must be reconciled with the universal through the negation of antithesis in order to satisfy its inner nature, but the human subject cannot do this reconciliation for itself because it is finite. The finite subject can affirm only one side. The living absolute spirit alone can distinguish himself from himself, affirm the other, and keep his identity with himself in the other.
At this point, the finite subject, human being, can do the reconciliation in himself only through the unity with God. In other words, a human being can have the truth (the reconciliation between the antithesis and the universal) in his consciousness only through the unity with God. The unity of God and humanity should be understood first in certainty not in thinking.
For Hegel, the incarnation refers to the unity of God and humanity.
Thus the Human Jesus, who is the unity of God and humanity, is the symbol of unity of the antithesis and the universal. Furthermore, the Human Jesus does not merely symbolize the unity of God and humanity, but lead human beings to the eternal peace and reconciliation in themselves. For this reason, Hegel understands Christology as the mid-point in his philosophy of religion because it unites God and humanity. That is, Christology is understood as a symbol negating the antithesis in humanity, and uniting the humanity with the universal.
