디카시조의 시적 특성 고찰 (The Poetic Characteristics of Dica-Sijos)

초록

본 연구는 현재 창작⋅발표되는 디카시조가 어떤 특성을 보이고 있는지 분석해보았다. 그동안 시조는 끊임없이 변하는 주변 환경에 적응하면서 다양한 변화를 모색해왔다. 현대시조에서 디카시 양식을 수용하여 디카시조를 창작⋅발표하는 것도 타장르와의 문학적 소통을 실천하는 행위이면서 미디어 디지털화된 오늘날의 상황에 발맞추어 나가기 위한 시도인 것이다.
디카시는 순간적인 포착물을 사진 이미지에 담고 이를 토대로 문자시를 창작하는 과정을 지나온다. 이러한 디카시를 시조 형태로 창작하는 대표적인 시인으로 원로인 이상범 시인이 있다. 그는 다수의 디카시조집을 발간하면서 자신만의 디카시 미학을 보여 주고 있다. 이상범 시인은 자신이 직접 촬영한 사진을, 날시성을 드러낸 채로 혹은 포토그래픽 기술을 도입하거나 회화를 결합한 방식으로 디카시의 지평을 넓힌 바 있다. 또 사진과 문자시의 결합으로 만들어지는 표면적 주제뿐만 아니라, 사진 이미지의 예술적 변용을 통해 이면적 주제나 시적 상황을 보여 주며 다층적 의미를 양산하는데 효과를 거두었다.
디카시조를 창작ㆍ발표하는 또 하나의 축으로 <21세기시조동인>이 있다. <21세기시조동인>은 매년 자신의 동인지에 디카시조를 발표하고 있다. 그들은 사진과 시조의 긴밀한 연결을 통해서, 디카시를 활용한 시조 미학을 창작으로써 증명해 주었다. 그들은 푼크툼이 확장된 사진 이미지와 시적 형상화가 두드러진 문자시(시조)를 조화롭게 결합하여 높은 작품성을 보여 준 바 있다.
디카시조가 문학사의 통시적 흐름 속에 함께 하면서 더 나은 장르 확립과 향유를 위해 몇 가지 사항을 고려해봐야 한다. 첫째, 디카시조에서도 소통방식의 디지털화가 요구된다는 것이다. 둘째, 사진 이미지에 너무 집중한 나머지 시조의 작품성을 놓치는 일도 경계해야 하고, 사진을 (극)순간적으로 포착하여 직접 촬영해야 한다는 사실을 간과해서도 안 될 것이다. 셋째, 디카시조에서 초장에서 시상을 일으키고, 종장에서 내용과 발상의 전환과 더불어 주제 의식을 함축하는 단시조의 미학을 보여 주어야 한다.
본 논의를 통해 현대시조의 새 지류인 ‘디카시조’에 대해 본격적으로 탐색하고, 디카시조에 대한 심층적인 연구를 위한 발판을 다지고자 하였다.

영어초록

In the course of establishing as a modern genre, Sijos have continued to adjust themselves to their surrounding situations and explored various changes in their content and forms. In modern Sijos, creating and publishing Dica-Sijos by embracing the Dica-poem style is an act of practicing literary communication with other genres and an attempt to keep up with today’s situations of media digitalization. Such efforts to change one’s ideas quickly according to new experiences offer grounds to enjoy Sijos as a classical genre in modern times.
Dica-poems undergo the process of capturing the photographic images of objects instantly and creating poems in letters based on them. Initially, Dica-poems were deemed strange, but they have not established themselves as a new modern style with the gradual expansion of their readers. One of the representative poets to create such poems in the Sijo form is the elder Lee Sang-beom, who has demonstrated the aesthetics of his own Dica-poetry by publishing several collections of his Dica-Sijos. The poet has used his own photographs to broaden the horizon of Dica-poems by revealing their “Nalsiseong” (feature of raw poem), introducing photographic techniques, or combining them with paintings. He has also generated the effect of creating multi-layered meanings by presenting superficial topics based on the combinations of photographs and poems in letters and presenting hidden topics or poetic situations through the artistic transformation of photographic images.
Another axis in the creation and publication of Dica-Sijos is the Coterie of 21st Century Sijos, whose members have published their Dica-Sijos in their literary coterie magazine every year. They have established the form of “photograph+Dan Sijo” by accepting Dica-Sijos and demonstrated the aesthetics of Sijos based on Dica-poems in creative ways based on close connections between photographs and Sijos. By promoting the harmonious combinations of photographic images in which punctum is expanded and poems (Sijos) in letters with prominent poetic embodiment, they have shown remarkable quality in their works.
A couple of points should be taken into consideration to ensure that Dica-Sijos will be established as a better genre and enjoyed by more readers by joining the diachronic flow of literary history. First, the methods of communication should be digitalized in Dica-Sijos. Second, care should be taken not to miss the artistic values of Sijos, being too focused on photographic images, and readers should not forget to take pictures themselves by capturing images (ultra-) instantly. Finally, they need to show the aesthetics of Dan Sijos to raise poetic concepts in the early Jang and change content and ideas and imply thematic consciousness in the final Jang.
These discussions are of significance in that a full-blown inquiry into “Dica-Sijos” as a new branch of modern Sijos is conducted and a foundation for in-depth research on Dica-Sijos is solidified.
