東谿 趙龜命의 蘇軾 문학 수용과 변용 양상 연구 (Study on acceptance and transformation of Sushi(蘇軾) literature on DongKei(東溪) Jo gwi myoung(趙龜命))

초록

18세기 초 산문가 東谿 趙龜命(1693~1737)의 독특한 문론과 작품은 일찍부터 주목받았다. 동시기 인물뿐 아니라, 후대의 이규상, 송백옥, 김택영 등의 비평가들은 공히 조귀명 문장의 非常함을 높이 여기는 비평을 남겼다. 80년대 말 선인들의 비평에 힘입어 조귀명이 연구되기 시작한 지 30여년의 시간이 흘렀다. 그 결과 조귀명은 18세기 초 가장 뛰어난 산문작가 중 한 명으로 자리 잡았다. 그렇다면 조귀명 산문의 어떤 지점이 그토록 뛰어나다는 것인가? 기존 연구에서 언급된 조귀명 문학론의 개념어는 道文分離, 倣古創新, 自得, 適意 등이다. 그런데 이러한 개념들과 문학관이 과연 조귀명만의 것인지에 대해서는 의문을 품지 않을 수 없다. 문예미의 추구는 조귀명에게 뚜렷하게 보이는 특징이지만, 이는 문인과 시기에 따라 다양한 양상을 보인다는 점에서 조귀명만의 전유물이라고 할 수는 없다. 방고와 창신 역시 마찬가지다. 이제 조귀명이 어떻게 이런 문학론을 성립시킬 수 있었는지, 또 이러한 문론으로 어떤 작품들을 창작했는지를 살펴볼 시기이다.
본고는 조귀명 문학론의 한 근원으로서 소식에 주목한다. 조귀명은, 소식 문장의 정수를 터득했으며 이를 후대에 전하는 것 역시 자신의 몫이라고 자임할 만큼 소식의 문장을 애호했다. 본고에서는 우선 조귀명의 親友들과 당시 문사들, 그리고 후대 비평가들의 조귀명-소식에 대한 비평을 살펴보았다. 이어 見識解悟로 규정되는 뜻[意]을 도출하는 과정에서, 소식 문장에 대한 비평이 주요한 단서로 작용했음을 밝혔다.
다음으로 역시 소식을 酷好한 같은 시기 문인 신정하와의 學蘇경향을 대비해 조귀명만의 특징을 부각시켰다. 즉, 신정하는 소식의 小文을 애독하며 소식 筆帖의 글자를 분해해 고시를 짓는데, 이는 같은 주제로 글을 써도 소식과는 전혀 다른 결론을 내리는 조귀명이 보기에는 자신만의 식견과 깨달음을 찾아볼 수 없는 창작행위라는 것이다. 마지막으로 조귀명의 學蘇法이 잘 드러나는 <賈誼論>을 분석해서, 맹목적 慕蘇가 아닌 창작방법론의 학습임을 밝혔다.

영어초록

In the early 18th century, the unique literature and works of prose poet DongKei(東溪) Jo gwi myoung(趙龜命)(1693~1737) received attention earlier on. Not only contemporary critics but also critics such as Lee Gyu-sang, Song Baek-ok, and Kim Taek-yong criticized unusual Jo qwi myung's phrase. In the late ‘80s, more than 30 years have passed from the beginning of study.’ As a result, he became one of the most outstanding prose writers of the early 18th century. So, what point of prose is so exquisite? The conceptual words of literature theory created by Jogimyung mentioned in the previous research are road separation, recurrence, self - esteem, and appropriateness. However, I wonder whether these concepts and literary viewpoint are made from only Joqimyung. The pursuit of literary beauty is a distinctive feature of Cho, but it can not be said that it is the only thing owned by Jogimyung. In the sense that it shows various aspects according to the literary period so, it can not be the only thing owned by Jogimyung. The same is true for 倣古 and 創新. Now it is time to look at how the Jo gwi myung was able to establish this literary theory and what works he created with these literary texts.
This paper focuses on the news as a source of the Jo gwi myung's literary theory . He learned the essence of the news sentence, and he liked the sentence of the news so that it was his own responsibility to transfer it to future generations. In this article, I first looked at the criticism of the first names of the angelic name friends, the writers of the time, and the later names of later critics. In the process of deriving the meaning that is defined by the resolution of the insight, the criticism of the sentence was the main clue. Next, I also highlighted the characteristics of Jo gwi myung only in preparation for the trend of the scholarship of Shin Jeong-ha, who exists at the same time period of loving news. In other words, we read the small sentence of the new news and separate the letter of the newsletter to make a notice and this is a creative act that own insight and realization cannot be seen. Jo gwi myung who brings different conclusion of a news even if he write on the same subject thought that. Finally, I analyzed the “賈誼論”, in which the 學蘇 is well-known, revealing that it is the study of the method of creation which focuses on the intention rather than the popularity.
