다문화 청소년 학업중단 위험 유형별 관련 변인 연구 (A Study on the Variables related to the Various Types of Risk for the Multicultural Adolescents’ Academic Suspension)

초록

본 연구는 다문화 청소년의 학업중단 위험 유형별 가족 특성 요인과 다문화 수용 요인과의관계를 분석하기 위하여 대응일치분석을 적용하였다. 다문화청소년패널조사의 9차년도 자료를 활용하였으며 다문화 청소년 1,146명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화 청소년의 학업중단 위험 유형은 ‘독립형’, ‘가족형’, ‘안전형’, ‘친구형’, ‘개인형’, ‘개인친구형’ 등 6개 유형으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 다문화 청소년의 학업중단 위험 유형별가족특성 요인과의 관계는 어머니 출신 국가, 결혼 상태, 가정형편 인식 유형에 따라 다르게나타났다. 셋째, 다문화 청소년의 학업중단 위험 유형별 다문화 수용 요인과의 관계는 이중문화수용태도와 다문화수용성의 유형에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 미래 우리나라의 다문화 청소년의 학업 중단 위험을 예방 및 최소화하고 학교적응을 돕기 위한 제언을하였다

영어초록

This study applied correspondence analysis to analyze the relationship between the family characteristic factors of the academic suspension of the multicultural adolescents and the multicultural acceptance factors. The ninth year Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MCAPS) was applied and total of 1,146 multicultural adolescents participated in this study. The following are the research findings of this study. First, the risks of multi cultural adolescents’ academic suspension were categorized into 6 types. The types are, ‘independent type,’ ‘family type,’ ‘safety type,’ ‘peer type,’ ‘individual type,’ and ‘personal peer type.’ Second, the relationship between the types of academic suspension risks for multicultural adolescents with the family characteristic factors appeared differently depend ing on the nationality of their mother, marriage status, and the awareness of family cir cumstances types. Third, the relationship between the types of academic suspension risks for multicultural adolescents with the multicultural acceptance factors appeared differently depending on the attitude toward bicultural adaptation and the types of multicultural adjustment. Based on the research findings, suggestions were made to prevent and mini mize the risk of academic interruption of multicultural adolescents Korean int eh future and to help them adapt better to school.
