초록

There is a person who shapes a popular trend in both the east and the west. We call the person Bruce Lee, Li Xiaolong, or Lee SoRyong. However, as it was well known that there are only five movies where he acted such as The Big Boss(1971), Fist of Fury(1972), The Way Of The Dragon(1972), Enter The Dragon(1973), and The Game of Death(1978) which was completed after his death. Unlike martial arts movies centering on Hu JinQuan, and Zhang Che, the movies featuring Lee SoRyong are Kung Fu movies of bare hands martial arts and the movies were very popular. However, it is hard to call the movies masterpieces. The story is very simple, and the characters are not extraordinary. What are the reasons that Lee SoRyong is considered as a person who shapes a global trend? First, this study briefly examines the position of his movies from the cultural history of Hong Kong movie perspective. This study generally examines what the emergence his movies means at that time when Hong Kong movie community was led by Hu JinQuan and Zhang Che movies, and what influence his movies had on global movie communities including East Asia. Second, this study examines Lee SoRyong expecially in his five movies such as The Big Boss(1971), Fist of Fury(1972), The Way Of The Dragon(1972), Enter The Dragon(1973), and The Game of Death(1978). Third, this study examines the way Lee SoRyong is reproduced and consumed.
