초록

한국인은 궁극적 실재를 어떻게 만나고 이해하고 진술해 왔는가에 관한 질문과 함께 문화적으로 구성된 신론이 궁극적 실재에 관한 통전적인 신학적 진술에 기여할 것이라는 전제를 가지고 본 논문은 동양적 무(無)와 공(空)에 천착하는 사유와 자기 비움의 수행을 통해서 궁극적 실재와의 만남을 추구하고, 그 만남에 대해 진술한 다석 유영모의 없이 계신 하나님 신론을 해체적이고 과정철학적인 접근을 통해서 연구한다.
이런 접근으로 드러나는 다석의 없이 계신 하나님 신론은 ‘없음’과 ‘있음’을 위계적으로 구분하여 신과 세계의 분리를 상정하는 ‘더 큰 있음’의 실체론적 이해가 아니다. 다석의 없이 계신 하나님 신론은 ‘없음’을 ‘한 없이 큰 것’으로 봄으로써 신과 세계의 무분별을 상정하는 비실체론적 이해로 드러난다. 본 논문에서는 이 같은 비실체론적 이해가 보여주는 없이 계신 하나님의 네 가지 주요한 특징을 해체적인 개방성과 무규정성, 과정철학적인 생성과 비시원성이라 제시한다. 비실체론적 관점에서 없이 계신 하나님은 세계와의 관계에 있어 자기 부정의 해체를 통해 세계와 합일하는 하나님이며, 해체적 개방성과 무규정성 그리고 과정적 창조의 생성과 비시원성은 세계와 합일하고자 하는 하나님의 자기 계시로 드러난다. 이와 같은 없이 계신 하나님 이해가 가진 신학적 함의는 오늘날 신과 세계의 분리로 인한 존재론적 허무주의에 대응하는 존재론적 토대로서의 가능성이다.

영어초록

With the question of how Koreans have met, understood, and stated the ultimate reality, and the premise that culturally constructed theology will contribute to a holistic theological statement about the ultimate reality, this thesis studies the understanding of God of existence and non-existence as found in the thought of Da-seok Yoo Young-mo. Da-seok seeks an encounter with the ultimate reality through the encounter understood by the oriental concept of nothingness(무, 無) and emptiness(공, 空) and the practice of self-emptying.
The God of existence and non-existence in Da-seok’s thinking is revealed through a deconstructive process and philosophical approach. God is not presented as a substantive understanding of a ‘greater being’ that hierarchically divides ‘non-existence’ and ‘existence’ and posits the separation of God and the world. Rather, it is presented as a non-substantive understanding that assumes the indistinguishability between God and the world by viewing ‘non existence’ as ‘infinitely great’. In this thesis, the four main characteristics of this non-substantive understanding of God of existence and non-existence are as follows: deconstructive openness and indefiniteness, and process philosophical becoming and non-orientability. From a non-substantial point of view, God of existence and non-existence is a God who is united with the world through the deconstruction and self-denial in relation to the world. Furthermore, deconstructive openness and indefiniteness, the becoming of process-philosophy and the non-orientability of God are presented as the self revelation of God, who seeks to be united with the world. This understanding of the God of existence and non-existence shows the possibility of being presented as ontological nihilism that appears due to the separation of God and the world today.
