초록

본 연구의 목적은 미술과와 연계한 학교차원의 사회정서학습 프로그램이 지적장애 초등학생의 수업참여도와 비장애학생의 정서지능에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 경기도에 소재하고 있는 A초등학교의 전교생 31명(지적장애학생 3명, 비장애학생 28명)이었다. 연구설계는 단일집단 사전-사후검사 설계이고, 독립변인인 사회정서학습 프로그램은 초등학교 미술과와 연계하여 총 36회기로 구성하였다. 종속변인인 지적장애 초등학생의 수업참여도는 비장애학생들이 평가하였으며, 비장애학생의 정서지능은 자기보고식으로 자료를 수집하였고, 종속표본 t 검증을 적용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술과와 연계한 학교차원의 사회정서학습 프로그램이 지적장애 초등학생의 수업참여도를 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상시켰다. 둘째, 미술과와 연계한 학교차원의 사회정서학습 프로그램이 비장애학생의 정서지능의 전체 평균을 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상시키지는 않았으나, 정서표현과 정서활용 하위영역을 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상시켰다. 본 연구는 전교생을 대상으로 학교차원의 사회정서학습 프로그램을 적용하여 효과를 검증하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a school-wide social emotional learning program integrated with art on the class participation of elementary school students with intellectual disabilities and the emotional intelligence of students without disabilities. The subjects were 31 students (three students with intellectual disabilities and 28 students without disabilities) from an elementary school located in Gyeonggi Province. The one-group pretest-posttest design was applied. The school-wide social emotional learning program integrated with art was organized with five elements of social emotional abilities: self-awareness, self-management, social recognition, personal relationship, and responsible decision making. A total of 28 students without disabilities evaluated the class participation of the three students with intellectual disabilities, in addition the emotional intelligence of students without disabilities was measured by a self-report instrument. Dependent samples t-test was implemented for analyzing the data. The research results were as follows. First, the class participation of the three students with intellectual disabilities was statistically improved significantly after they participated in the program. Second, there was no statistically significant difference between the pretest total scores and the posttest total scores of the emotional intelligence of the 28 students without disabilities. On the contrary, the subscale scores of their emotional expression and emotional utilization were statistically improved significantly after they participated in the program. Implications of this study as well as suggestions for future studies were discussed.
