가정과 연계한 유아생태활동이 유아의 정서지능 및 부모효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Family-Connected Young Children's Ecological Activities on Young Children's Emotional Intelligence and Parent's Parenting Efficacy)

초록

본 연구는 가정과 연계한 유아생태활동이 유아의 정서지능 및 부모효능감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 S시의 K어린이집 만5세 2반 실험집단(13명)과 비교집단(13명)으로, 어린이에서의 하루일과는 실험집단과 비교집단 모두 누리과정으로 동일하게 운영하였다. 그러나 연구를 위하여 실험집단에게는 가정연계 생태활동 프로그램을 제공함으로써 12주 동안 16회기에 거쳐 평일 귀가 후의 시간이나 주말을 이용하여 부모와 자녀가 활동하는 시간을 갖도록 하였다. 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사의 절차로 연구가 진행되었으며 연구결과 첫째, 가정과 연계한 유아생태활동은 유아정서지능의 하위요인인 자기정서의 이용, 타인정서 인식 및 배려, 자기정서 인식 및 표현, 감정의 조절 및 충동억제, 교사와의 관계, 또래와의 관계 등 유아정서지능 전체에서 실험집단에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 가정과 연계한 유아생태활동은 부모효능감의 탐색적 요인인 유능성과 안정감 전체에서도 실험집단에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 연구 결과를 통해 가정과 연계한 유아생태활동은 유아의 정서지능 발달과 부모의 양육 효능감 증진에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 본 연구는 가정연계 유아생태활동 프로그램을 부모에게 제공하여 적극적인 부모역할을 경험하게 함으로써, 자녀 양육에 있어 부모의 역할에 대한 자신감과 부모효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 제공했다는 것에 그 의의가 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze how family-connected ecological activities for young children affect their emotional intelligence, as well as their parents’ parenting efficacy. For this study, two classes of 5-year-old children at ‘K' child-care Center in ‘S' si, Gyeonggi-do were divided into experimental groups and comparative groups of 13 students per group, and the daily lives of the children were managed in accordance to the Nuri program. The experimental group was provided with a family-linked ecological activity program, which allowed parents and children to spend time with each other during free time for a total of 16 times over 12 weeks. The research was conducted through the procedures of pre-examination, experimental treatment, and post-examination. The results of this study were as follows: First, ecological activities linked to the family-connected program showed statistically significant differences by increasing the overall score of young children's emotional intelligence factors, such as utilization of their emotions, empathy, recognition and expression of self-emotion, regulation of emotion, relationships between the child and their teacher, and relationships with their peers. Second, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in the overall factors of ability and stability, which are the exploratory factors of the parenting efficacy. The results of these studies show that family-connected ecological activities are effective in developing the emotional intelligence of young children and enhancing parental efficacy. This study is meaningful in that it provided parents with a home-linked ecological activity program to experience active parental roles, granting them with a method of improving their confidence in the role of parents in raising children and their overall parental efficacy.
