초록

This paper focuses on the method of capturing rhetorical relations by means of predicate-argument structures. Discourse structures are assumed to have tree-like structures where rhetorical relations are used for combining text units. But rhetorical relations are not easy to capture within the text, because they are heterogeneous in their properties. In this paper, we concentrate on the ‘semantic’ rhetorical relations that are defined on the basis of predicate-argument structures. We present a method by which we can capture those relations objectively. In the method, we use various language resources such as KoreLex, WordNet, and SUMO. Lastly, we analyse some examples by the proposed method, and show that our method can be applied to texts successfully.
