한국의 모리 오가이(森鴎外) 문학 번역 소개와 연구 동향 - 1966년부터∼2015년까지 50년간 - (Translation and Research Trend on Mori Ogai’s Literature in Korea: During the Period from 1966 to 2015)

초록

1916年、韓國近代文學の先驅者李光洙に依り、森鴎外の名前が初めて韓國へ伝えられた。その後、1966年鴎外の歴史小説『山椒大夫』が韓国で初めて翻訳紹介されてから50年が経ち、1976年鴎外の文学研究が始まって40年となった。これまで鴎外文学の翻訳は計16作品で、孫順玉など18人の翻訳者が38件、研究論文は47人が105編（3編以上の筆者10人が53編）を発表、鴎外文学を主題とする博士学位論文は5編、単行本は1冊、著書などで言及したのは約32冊などの実績が確認できた。1976年、独文学者の高昌範の鴎外研究以来、崔在喆、柳鎭雨、權泰敏、宋鉉順、李起燮、金玉枝などハングル世代が鴎外の文学研究を主に継承している。 最も多く翻訳された作品は『高瀬舟』(7件)であり、論文で最も多く研究された作品は『阿部一族』(9編)である。鴎外文学の研究は、主に歴史小説と『舞姫』など初期三部作を中心とした作品論(50％)と主題研究(29％)が活発に行われたが、これは鴎外文学の代表的な作品とその主題を認知した結果であり、韓国文学との比較研究の実績が発表されつつある。 今後の課題は、小説以外の鴎外の評論、エッセイ、詩、戯曲など、様々な分野の翻訳と主題別の研究をより拡散させ、作家研究、評伝など単行本の著書にまとめていく必要がある。鴎外の西欧思潮の翻訳紹介など啓蒙期の多様な業績と韓国文学との関連性など、より幅広い比較文学研究の可能性も充分にあると思う。影響関係の実証的比較研究は、結果的に韓国自体のものと再創造した部分を確認する作業となるだろう。

영어초록

Fifty years have passed since Ogai’s historical fiction “Sansho the Bailiff(山椒大夫)” was introduced to Korea in a translated version in 1966. Forty years have passed since a research on Ogai and his fictions initiated by Go, Changbeom, a scholar of German Literature, in 1976. Meanwhile, Ogai’s sixteen literary works have been translated into thirty eight works by eighteen translators including Son, Sunok, and 105 scholarly essay articles have been published by forty seven authors where ten authors who published more than three articles have published fifty threearticle. One scholarly book on Ogai’s works was also published and he has been mentioned in thirty two books. In sum, regarding the studies on Ogai and his fictions, mainly the Hangul generation consisting of Choi, Jaechul, Yu, Jinwoo, Gwon, Taemin, Song, Hyeonsun, Lee, Giseop, and Kim, Okji has continued the tradition of Ogai scholarship since 1985.
“Takasebune(高瀬舟)” is the mostly translated work and "The Abe Clan(阿部一族)" is a short story on which has been the most widely studied. The researches have been mainly done on Ogai’s initial trilogy including historical fictions and "The Dancing Girl(舞姫)”, etc. This is the result of recognizing Ogai’s exemplary achievements and it is also encouraging to observe that various thematic researches and the comparative studies between Ogai’s works and Korean Literature have been published.
Future tasks include a need to translate Ogai’s works of other genres than short fiction such as criticism, essays, poetry, and drama, to spread more thematic study and to eventually integrate the studies on Ogai and his works into a biography and more books. Considering Ogai’s contributions such as translating the Western trend of thoughts, and creative writing and the aspects shown in Ogai’s works that we can relate to Korean literature, the possibility of a more extensive and in-depth comparative literature studies open. Comparative study of the relationship will give us chances to check what is unique in Korean literature as well as what is recreated out of Japanese influence.
