안중근에 대한 중국학계의 연구 성과와 과제 (The Review of the Studies on An Jung-geun(安重根) in China)

The studies on An Jung-geun in China have been started just after An’s patriotic deed. Just after the An’s patriotic deed, several important persons like Sun Wen(孫文)· Yuan Shihk’ai(袁世凱)·Liang Qi-Chao(梁啓超) announced panegyrical writings and poetries to praise An Jung-geun as well as many Chinese newspapers like ≪SHENBAO(申報)≫ ≪SHIBAO(時報)≫ ≪DAGONGBAO(大公報)≫ and magazines reported it with comments on current events and editorial columns. From then on several persons including Park Eun-sik(朴殷植) in Shanghai and Zheng Huan(鄭沅) published “Biography of An Jung-geun”(安重根傳) and then many social organizations in China wrote several novels and performed plays and movies about An Jung-geun.
The full-fledged studies on An Jung-geun got started in 1980 with the end of the Cultural Revolution in China. Korean-Chinese scholars in Heilongjang Sheng· Jilin Sheng· Liaoning Sheng researched An Jung-geun at first and then many Chinese scholars followed them. The products of their studies are biographies, compilations of materials, and theses on it. These products were produced in accordance with scientific discussions and memorial ceremonies in harmony with Korea.
We can arrange the research products of Chinese academic world in several parts. First, An Jung-geun’s patriotic deed gave a big shock to japanese government organs and imperialists. Second, An Jung-geun’s patriotic deed was a important part of righteous armies fighting against Japanese imperialism, not terrorist assassination. Third, An Jung-geun’s patriotic deed was a great sample for Chinese national movement against Japanese imperialism as well as it boosted Korean nationalism. Fourth, Chinese scholars evaluate An Jung-geun as not only a hero of Korean but also righteous man of East Asian fighting against imperialism and loving peace We have several tasks to solve for more wider studies on An Jung-geun in Chinese academic world. At the first, we should point out that there were few independent research of Chinese scholars. So we should make chances and circumstances for Chinese scholars to study independently. Second, we should point out that Chinese academic world don’t use the research products of Korean academic world at all. We need to inform Korean products to Chinese academic world actively. Third, we need to make a base for Korean and Chinese scholars to collaborate. To open just a joint scientific council is not enough. From now on Korean and Chinese scholars should have same recognition to research together which meaning and grade An Jung-geun had in Korean and Chinese history.
