와이브로 서비스 채택에 영향을 주는 요인들에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Factors Affecting the Adoption of WiBro Service)

초록

본 연구는 와이브로 채택에 영향을 미치는 요인들이 정보기술수용모형의 선행 연구들과 어떤 차이를 보이는 지를 고찰하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 와이브로에 대한 인지된 유용성은 와이브로 채택태도에 유의한 수준에서 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 와이브로에 대한 개인적 속성변인에서는 개혁성과 부합성이 채택태도에 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 매체 비용 변인에서는 잠재적 채택자에게 비용의 절감과 인센티브 효과를 기대하게 만들 경우, 와이브로 채택이 높아진다는 점을 확인 할 수 있다. 끝으로 와이브로 서비스에서 채택태도는 채택의도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영어초록

As numerous services, which are based on the Internet, have recently increased by geometric progression, so does the proliferation of wireless equipments and, also, uses of the wireless networking applications have become popular. Subsequently, connections to the Internet have sharply increased and the users of wireless equipments have come to want such multimedia services that are available in higher speed without regard to the limit of geographical location.
WiBro was eventually devised in an effort to provide a wireless broadband Internet service with enhanced mobility at a lower price, which overcome the limitations of the infrastructures of the current cellular phones and wireless LANs. Given this situation, it is imminent to study WiBro that are emerging as an alternative to the fixed broadband Internet in comprehensive and multilateral ways.

Based on these results, it can be concluded that the integrated approach through the TAM suggested in this study can be usefully applied to explain (how a new technology such as WiBro is adopted by users and diffused through a society.) As suggestions for the future studies, it should be mentioned that this study did not include the subjects who are currently using the WiBro service, which is obviously a limitation of the present study. To improve the WiBro service, the following studies need to focus more on the real users' motivations, specific services mainly subscribed, and gratifications with those services.
